Time To Oil The Roller Boots!

Woo hoo it's Monday!

Back to school for my kids, and back to work for me.

Getting up early, I wanted so much to press that snooze button!

I wasn't invited to a important work meeting.

I turned up,and the room was full of my co-workers.

 I asked "Do I still work here???. I better turn round and walk back to my car!"

No one laughed except me ;)

Might have job number 4 on the horizon.

Got a job interview tomorrow :)

Best to oil those roller skates!

Road To Hell

Sunday morning in Blackpool.

Wakes up in lovely four poster bed and a warmer hubby.

Had some drunken revellers during the night shouting down the road at 2am!

Had a lovely breakfast,

Packed car,

Now for the journey home.

Had several stops for coffee.

It was so tiring watching my hubby drive.

So many bad drivers on the motorway (M6)

Gets home to get the kids uniform ready for school for tomorrow

Blow the dust off my lolly pop for my work tomorrow.

The work wheel is being greased, as if I don't, it might wobble far too much ;P

Celebrating Our Wedding Anniversary...

The Four Poster bed was broken into last night ;)

Today we are celebrating our 4th Wedding Anniversary.

We hopped onto a tram to Fleetwood.

Back onto tram to Cleveleys

Then back onto tram to have my hand read on the South Pier.

Interesting future going to happen....

Tried out the new £4million Wetherspoon's, The Velvet Coaster for food.

Nice.

Later on we walked 1.8 miles to look at the Blackpool Illuminations.

Then caught the tram to view the rest..

So nice to celebrate the Wedding Anniversary..

Now back to that Four Poster bed! 

Kiss Me Quick!

It's Friday morning, 5am and the alarm clock goes off.

In dire need of a very very strong cup of coffee to get up that early!

Car packed, we leave.

Nipped into a cafe and a gut buster breakfast....(Served on a platter plate!)

We finally reach Blackpool after having to go around the back streets

due to roads being closed due the lights being turned on tonight by Tim Burton.

We had a little look around Blackpool.

Got back to the B&B.

Made full use of the big bath, and four poster bed.

It's amazing what warm hands can do!

More Fruit Than Nut

I have had my own Great British Bake Off in my own kitchen.

First up I made a chocolate sponge with Kenny the Kenwood.

Next I made some lemon shortbread.

Now to attack a bag of bramley apples.

I defrosted a 2lb of blackberries,

Out came the jam pan.

2lb of apples, 2lb of blackberries, sugar and lemon juice....

2 hours later,

4 jars full of apple and blackberry jam!

Decorated the chocolate cake with left over Quality Street chocolates...

Just to remind hubby how many years that ball and chain has been attached to his ankle!

 

Roll With It

Welcome to Hump of the week!

I have been getting more school uniform.

Ordered 2 red fleeces for their PE kits.

A pair of size 10 adult football boots soon followed.

Had to go to Tesco's to pick up yet more uniform!

Found a picture, which describes my day.

It is proudly hanging on my kitchen wall.

I finally finished making my hubby's wedding anniversary card.

Roll on Saturday,when it's our 4th Wedding Anniversary!

I am sure my warm hands will be used....to celebrate!

Lots Of Squeezing ....

Today, I had a nice lie in (hubby had to go back to work)

Now to use those Bramley apples,

we made three apple pies.

They went into the freezer.

I used the remaining four oranges etc.

2 hours of stirring,stirring and more bloody stirring.

 The end result was 3 jars of marmalade !!!

Now to use up two and half bags of Bramley apples.....
