Road Trip to Bewdley

When all else fails, and the instructions are missing - kick it - Anon
Welcome to my Sunday Road Trip 🚗
Little bit of a lie in....
Then it was Breakfast and Brew.
Time for the thermal vest to go on....
Road trip time...
We went past West Midlands Safari Park↓
We got to Bewdley.
Now for a look around!
Time to look in the Charity Shop.
(If I had room, I would have had it!)
Don't Tempt me!
Some nice things in there↑↑
Now to enjoy some coffee and nibble↑↑
I got some nice vinyl records...↓
Now onto lunch...
Mmmmm lovely.
Full up, so I didn't have a dessert.
Hubby found room for one ;)
Now back to do a bit of shopping in Morrisons.
Private Eye Magazine front cover↓
Popped around to see my late father-in-law's house for the last time.
Back garden.
The view from the back bedroom.
The views from the Attic window.
Then time to get home....
Nice cup of tea...
Unpacked all my Charity Shop bargains↓
Quick look into today's newspaper before tea.
UK No.1 on this day in 1969:
Peter Sarstedt - Where Do You Go To (my lovely?)
UK No.1 on this day in 2000.
All Saints - Pure Shores
US No.1 on this day in 1966.
Nancy Sinatra - These Boots Are Made For Walkin'
US No.1 on this day in 1977.
Eagles - New Kid in Town
We had a lovely tea of Smoked Salmon on crackers :)
On Social Media, I discovered this↓
Sometimes when I'm sad that I left my now ex-partner and our marriage because they cheated on me with the person they are now with, I go on Amazon and read that person's one star reviews of the books they wrote. It always cheers me up.
My response to it was:
Your ex-wife is probably a lot happier now with her new partner. Assuming you didn't satisfy her needs...
(Sounds a bit too close to home considering I had one star for one of books as well↓↓)
Sleep  Tea Time.
Back on the Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡 tomorrow.

Another Road Trip!

Friends help you move. Real friends help you more bodies
 - Milton Berle.
Welcome to my Sunday Funday 🎈
Nice warm hug to start Sunday with.
Breakfast with brew.
Thermal vest on.
Dressed.
Now out of the house as hubby is going for his Covid-19 Booster.
He has his booster.
He didn't have a card
(Which tells which one he had)
or have to wait 15 minutes.
We go to have a look around Stourport.
No charity shops were open.
Then we carried onto Bewdley.
The flood Barriers were put up just incase the river burst it's banks.
We crossed the road, went into the Charity Shop and bought some lovely things.
Now to explore more Bewdley.
Let's look at the other side of the Bridge.
It was getting really warm.
I had to take off two layers!
Now off for Sunday Lunch.
Turkey dinner :)
Followed by Pudding↓
We had two coffees each.
It was a lovely meal!
Now home we go.
Unpacks our things we bought.
Now to go in Sexy Beast.
Then we nipped into the Co-op for some bits.
Still had people NOT wearing their facemasks in there!
The self- service till was playing up, everything we scanned something and put it in the bag, the buzzer and red light kept going off!
Once it was all sorted.
Off home to unpack.
My youngest son had finished a 1000 piece jigsaw I bought yesterday already!
I got him a 1500 piece jigsaw from Bewdley...
See how long it takes him to do this one↓
What's behind the Advent Calender door?
I wrote yesterday's blog post.
I pinned the linings on the curtains in the hallway.
Hubby had fun putting up the curtain pole then!
Very light tea for us.
Now to get down to more watching of Netflix.
Second Series.
Now to look into today's newspaper.
Concetta  Franconero  known professionally as Connie Francis, is an American pop singer, former actress, and top-charting female vocalist of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Although her chart success waned in the second half of the 1960s, Francis remained a top concert draw.
She is 84 years old 🎈
Charley  Pride was an American singer, guitarist, and professional baseball player. His greatest musical success came in the early to mid-1970s, when he was the best-selling performer for RCA Records since Elvis Presley. During the peak years of his recording career (1966–1987), he had 52 top-10 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, 30 of which made it to number one. He won the Entertainer of the Year award at the Country Music Association Awards in 1971.
Pride is one of three African-American members of the Grand Ole Opry (the others being DeFord Bailey and Darius Rucker). He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000.
He sadly died aged 86 in 2020.
Sleep Tea Time.
Final week of being on the Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
